ABOUT US

Data That Comes Alive
Every Moment Within Reach

We are a team of engineers from top-tier internet companies, brought together by a shared love of sport — and we have worked in sports data for over 10 years. From three people in 2010 to a data service network covering competitions worldwide, one belief has never changed: great matches deserve great engineering.

WHO WE ARE

Engineers Who Know Sport Just as Well

Engineering is what we stand on; sport is what we share. Doing both well, year after year, is the whole point of Full Speed Data.

Big-tech engineering DNA illustration

Big-Tech Engineering DNA

Our core members come from top-tier internet companies, bringing a rigorous engineering culture, mature architectural experience and high standards for code quality.

Reliable data engine illustration

Professional and Dependable

From collection and processing to distribution and updates, the entire pipeline is built in house. Years of refinement mean every data point can be trusted.

Passion for sport illustration

Focused Because We Care

We are fans ourselves. Understanding both the game and the data is what lets us build products that genuinely fit how sport works.

10+ years illustration

10+ Years of Focus

Since 2010 we have grown steadily through every industry cycle. What time has left behind is data, experience and, above all, reputation.

OUR PRINCIPLES

Four Words, Written Into Every Line of Code

Fast, complete, stable, easy — our promise to every developer, and a line we have not compromised on in more than a decade.

SPEED · REALTIME

Speed and Real Time

Every goal, every red card, every change of score syncs in milliseconds. Your app has already updated before the crowd finishes celebrating.

  • Millisecond live updates, faster and steadier
  • Pull on demand over HTTP for flexible integration
  • Multi-node global delivery for low-latency access
FULL · DEPTH

Breadth and Depth

Over 1,000 competitions worldwide — pre-match intelligence, live events, technical statistics, post-match review and historical data. One API gives you every dimension of a match.

  • Full coverage of football, basketball, esports and more
  • Scores, events, line-ups, stats, animations and tables
  • 10+ years of historical data for analysis and modelling
RELIABLE · STABLE

Reliability and Stability

A cluster of 20+ servers, cross-site failover across data centres and 1-on-1 technical support. Late-night Champions League finals, early-morning NBA game sevens — we are online alongside your service.

  • 99.9% availability with redundancy on core paths
  • 1-on-1 support plus automated end-to-end alerting
  • End-to-end quality monitoring, issues caught in seconds

The 99.9% figure refers to the availability of core APIs within a calendar month; the measurement basis and scope of liability are governed by the service agreement signed by both parties.

DEV FRIENDLY

Built for Developers

We write code ourselves, so we know what a good API feels like. Clear docs, consistent structure and real examples mean your first call works within half a day.

  • Thorough documentation with real request examples
  • RESTful design with clear, consistent field semantics
  • Talk to engineers directly, not to a message relay

MILESTONES

From Three People to a Data Network

There is no overnight success story here, just one step at a time. Team, product, infrastructure and customers have all grown together.

The Team Comes Together

During the summer of the South Africa World Cup, three engineers from top-tier internet companies met as fellow supporters, wrote the first line of core code in a small rented office and decided to make “sport plus data” their life’s work.

First Data Product Goes Live

The live football score service launched publicly. Ten full months passed between the first line of code and the first byte of data shipped — two designs were thrown away along the way, purely to be confident in the accuracy.

Our First Customer

The team celebrated late into the night on the day the first paid contract was signed. That first show of trust turned “get the data right” from an idea into a promise — a copy of the contract is still on the office wall.

API V1.0 · Servers Scaled to 3

The API was fully standardised and the first public documentation published. Infrastructure had its first formal upgrade, growing to three servers with processing, computation and public service each on its own.

In-House Framework Upgrade and a Quality System

The second-generation processing framework went live along with end-to-end quality monitoring and automated remediation. The data dictionary and field conventions took shape that year, and everything accumulated since rests on that standard.

Team Passes 10, Customers Reach 3+

Both data operations and engineering expanded and the team passed ten people, with every founding member still on board. Customers grew steadily to 3+ without a single advert — all of it by referral.

API V2.0 · Servers Scaled to 5

Fixtures and results, standings and technical statistics were added, taking us from “the score” to “the whole match”. Servers grew to five, isolating processing from public service for the first time.

The basketball product line launched, taking us from football alone to multiple sports. Customers grew to 5+, and the two earliest are still with us today.

The team reached fifteen and 1-on-1 technical support became formal process. Late-night Champions League games and early-morning South American fixtures have had someone watching ever since.

API V3.0 · Entering the Real-Time Era

Live updates went live and latency moved from seconds to milliseconds, with coverage extending past 500 competitions. The core pipeline was almost entirely rewritten for this, over more than a year.

Servers passed ten and cross-site failover across data centres was completed, so a single failure no longer affects the public service. Customers passed ten in the same period, with renewal rates staying high.

A Decade of Data Consolidated

A year-long effort cleaned, completed and unified every piece of historical data since 2010 into one store, building a match database spanning more than a decade. The data quality system launched alongside it, catching anomalies within seconds.
